The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and experienced TIG/MIG Welder & Fabricator to join our production team at Factory Karts. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating high-quality metal components and products, working with both steel and aluminum to bring our innovative designs to life. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of welding processes, and a passion for craftsmanship, we encourage you to apply!

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Perform high-quality manual and machine TIG/MIG welding on various metal components, primarily steel and aluminum.
  • Fabricate equipment by precisely cutting, burning, and welding a variety of metals according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Prepare and clean surfaces thoroughly before welding to ensure optimal bond and finish.
  • Rigorously subject all completed welds and fabricated parts to appropriate inspections and internal QC tests to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Interpret and accurately follow production schedules, detailed blueprints, and work orders.
  • Conduct essential quality checks and adhere to best practices throughout the fabrication and welding process.
  • Operate and perform minor maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment, taking responsibility for assigned tools and machinery.
  • Strictly observe and practice all company safety procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across the production cycle to maintain efficiency and meet daily demands.
  • Assist with general fabrication tasks around the factory as required.
  • Maintain an immaculate and organized work area, consistently following company processes.

What You'll Bring (Qualifications):

  • Proven expertise in manual and machine TIG/MIG welding is essential.
  • Strong understanding of TIG/MIG welding procedures and processes, including machine setup.
  • Demonstrated experience working with both steel and aluminum.
  • Ability to perform welds that consistently pass visual inspection and internal QC tests.
  • Qualified to read and accurately interpret complex blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
  • Ability to operate various hand/air tools and electric grinders safely and effectively.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to adhere to working hours and have reliable transportation to and from our facility in Phoenix, AZ

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Prolonged standing and bending intermittently during work hours.
  • Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
