Akkodis is Scale Technician for a full-time position with a client Greensboro NC (100% Onsite)

Pay/Salary Range: $21-25/HR on w2(The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Seniority Level/Target years of experience -- Pretty entry level

Top 3-5 Technical Skills –

Some PLC knowledge, controls, reading schematics. But mostly MECHANICAL

Project Scope/Details/Responsibilities -

• 50% of the role is routine calibration checks - preventative maintenance, going to a client site and slinging weights (50 lb, 100 lb) onto a scale to test, inspect, measure, and calibrate. Very physical role. Will have to make adjustments to the scales, electrical and mechanical, to adjust.
• 40% of the role is handling breakdowns - Troubleshooting, changing out the loads, some PLCs, changing motors, valves and pumps, controls.
• Will need to be on call for clients, and up to 25% travel
• Very physical role, lots of heavy lifting
• CDL B license and welding experience preferred
• Someone great for this role was either an industrial technician for a plant, OR an HVAC/electrical crew member used to going to client sites.
