Job Description

We have partnered with a publicly traded FinTech that is creating technology to deliver financial empowerment to consumers when it matters most. Their broad array of mobile-first financial solutions is catered to building important credit and helping individuals reach their financial goals.

With a over 25 years in operation, this company has helped over 20 million people manage their financial well-being and provided over $40 billion in consumer loans. Their products range from credit cards, retail credit, healthcare financing, and automotive financing.

The Company's legal team is looking for a driven attorney who can play a generalist role in the legal department.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive legal support across all business units, including corporate, commercial, employment, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, NDAs, licensing, SaaS, and partnership agreements.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, business strategies, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Support corporate governance activities, including board and shareholder matters, entity management, and corporate filings.
  • Manage employment law issues, including policy development, employee relations, investigations, and compliance with federal and state labor laws.
  • Collaborate with external counsel on specialized legal matters and litigation management.
  • Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company's operations and proactively communicate relevant updates to leadership.
  • Assist with intellectual property matters, including trademark filings, enforcement, and licensing.
  • Support risk management initiatives, including insurance coverage, incident response, and contract risk assessments.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, providing legal insight to support strategic business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
  • 10+ years of legal experience, including both law firm and in-house roles.
  • Strong generalist background across corporate, commercial, employment, and compliance matters.
  • Skilled in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and providing practical legal advice.
  • Excellent communicator with sound judgment and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate cross-functionally.

This is a hybrid opportunity, 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Located in Sandy Springs, GA
