VC/PE Portfolio Monitoring & Customer Success Specialist

This fast-growing technology company focuses on Portfolio Monitoring in the Venture Capital (VC) and Private Equity (PE) spaces. They bring together investment sourcing, deal management, portfolio management and finance capabilities in one platform.

Given their rapid growth, they need a Portfolio Implementation and Customer Success Specialist located in the Bay Area.

Your north star will be advising customers on how to solve problems and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate implementation for new clients and engage in tailoring product to meet each client’s needs.
• Work with product and engineering teams to determine solutions that best achieve client goals, including understanding our implementation process to ensure seamless onboarding and product rollout.
• Track client requests, manage expectations, and deliver solutions to the clients on time.
• Solicit and prioritize feedback across the user base alongside the product team to drive new high-demand capabilities and enhancements to existing features.
• Lead user education and training for existing client base.

Qualifications and Experience

• Based in San Francisco Bay Area
• 3+ years of experience working in finance or with financial technology, required. This could be a great fit for someone from public accounting (with VC/PE clients), or from a VC/PE firm, or from a tech company in VC/PE space.
• Knowledge of fund accounting and portfolio company accounting concepts applied in the private market industry. (e.g., fund waterfall mechanics, private company cap tables).
• Understanding of private markets’ industry reporting standards.
• Comfortable working with and analyzing large datasets.
• Expert ability to communicate technical concepts with customers.
• Can work independently within a small but rapidly growing team.
• Familiar with customer success tools (e.g., Pendo).
• Understanding of data structures within accounting systems, preferred.

Education

4-year BS degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
