Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to support industrial automation and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with various control systems, software tools, and vision systems. This role involves programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated equipment with a strong emphasis on Siemens and Cognex platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, program, and debug PLC and HMI applications using Siemens TIA Portal (TIA17) and STEP7 V5.6 + SP2
• Configure and troubleshoot motor drives using STARTER V5.3+ and STARTER V5.5 , including SSP_SINAMICS_V5_2_SP3_HF7
• Work with SIMATIC S7 Distributed Safety 5.4 SP5 for safety systems and compliant automation solutions
• Integrate vision systems using Cognex In-Sight (versions 24.1 & 6.5) and DataMan 23.2.2
• Program and configure fastening systems using ToolsTalk W14.6 and ToolsTalk 2.18.1
• Support error-proofing and process quality tools such as Tox 2.2.5 and ASPYREConfigurator V121139
• Utilize UltraPro 7.9.2 for torque control systems
• Implement and manage power supply systems with Powerconfig_V323
• Provide technical support for washers on VBA systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment efficiency and reliability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems
• Proven experience with Siemens automation systems , including TIA Portal, STEP7, and STARTER
• Proficient in Cognex vision system setup and debugging
• Familiarity with tooling systems such as ToolsTalk and Tox
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel and support installation/start-up as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector
• Knowledge of safety PLCs and distributed safety systems
• Experience integrating systems across multiple platforms (vision, motion, safety, and power)
